First up 3 orange blocks for RSC were constructed.
Autumn also brings different shades of orange to the leaves.
The overlocker was located to the dining room table and the library bag production line was started.
After a couple of hours 35 bags were overlocked.
Next step is to sew the casings around the top of the bags. A job for another time.
Today I met up with a fellow zoomer. Betty and I have spoken many times during our regular Zoom sessions with the Chookshed Stitchers over the years but today was the first time that we have met up in person. Once coffee and cake were enjoyed we made our way down through the Rocks area of Sydney, alongside the harbour and under the harbour bridge where this photo was taken of Betty.
The scrap baskets have been tidied up and now look forward to seeing what June's chosen colour is.
Linking with So Scrappy.
Back soon and in the meantime
Happy stitching all

Well done getting your orange RSC projects done and also having overlocked the bags.
ReplyDeleteLovely outing with Betty.
It was me Maria lifeontheblock
ReplyDeleteIn total I did 17600 steps on our outing and home again. Thanks for a great day Karen.
ReplyDeleteORANGE blocks, hats AND leaves?! Glad you enjoyed a good day with your Chook Shed Stitchers friend, Karen. What fun to meet online friends in person! I, too, am interested to see what the RSC Color of the Month will be for the month of June. Any guesses?
ReplyDeleteYou're hitting the orange quite nicely all around. A lot of library bags in the process. Fun meet up with another quilter. I'm not familiar with a coral tree but it looks like it's taken its place quite fine.
ReplyDeleteWay to set aside time to meet up with a fellow Zoomer. In-person meetings are ALWAYS better. Sounded like a wonderful way to get out and have a different kind of fun. Your orange blocks look good and, now that you've enjoyed a breather, you're ready for the next color. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you and Betty got together. She would have liked to have joined us to Manly the day we caught up with one another, but you two finally met. It is so exciting!
