Red was the chosen colour for this month and these are the blocks that were made from some of my red scraps.

FNSI

Was on again last night.   Not much in the way of sewing happened but I did go through my red scraps.

A start was made on cutting up some strips and even managed to get three blocks sewn.

An order was placed at my stall last Saturday for 2 babies bibs.     These were sewn and delivered on Thursday.

This month's book club book was may choice so I am hoping that the other members are enjoying the book as much as I am.

Back to Part 2 of my blog

The sad saga of not being able to access my original blog has arisen again.     Which means from now on I will be posting from Karen's Korner Part 2.    So what has been happening since my last post here.

I will go back to what was made with the pretty fabric, magnets and old cd's.   Firstly the pretty fabrics and magnets were used to make a "kaleidoscope" of 6 butterflies.

There is a background story to these butterflies.  I have Janice to thank for the idea.  I found an 8 minute tutorial on you-tube - as you do - but for some reason I could not get my head around on how to do the fold for the wings.   I could not tell you how many times the video was stopped and started.    Finally after an hour one butterfly was produced.   At this rate a butterfly was going to cost $50.00!!!!!!

Once the first one was mastered the rest were produced rather quickly.

Then onto the using the cd's.     These ended up being playing card holders.   I have my hairdresser to thank for this idea.   For some reason I only took a photo of the first one and forgot to photograph all 4 that were made.

Again these were a big hit and more will be made in future.

My stall last Saturday was successful as I sold out of the baby bibs, adult bibs, butterflies, hanging kitchen towels, hand towels, snap top make up bags, glasses cases, jar grippers, tooth fairy pillows, bowl cosies and cross body bags.    I have some follow up orders.

There are some sewing secret projects that need to be done in the near future and then it will be back onto making more small donation quilts.

Back soon and in the meantime
